Firstly, pilates complements chiropractic treatment perfectly. Both Chiropractic treatment and Pilates have the same goals. Better, stronger and (hopefully!) pain free movement. You are often given exercises to do by the Chiropractor but how often do you do them? Think of Pilates as a way of doing all your exercises in one go. Simple.
Secondly, we work together. Your chiropractor, (Alison or Sarah) and our pilates instructor Laura, will work together to help you. We will set individual progress goals and help you to achieve your dreams. Pilates Adel classes will increase muscle strength and overall stability and help you to go about your normal daily activities. Perhaps it is doing the gardening? Or playing with the grandchildren? Or just going to socialise with friends without being in pain?
Because Pilates will make you stronger it also reduces the chances of your back pain returning in the future.
